North Wales contains some of the most beautiful natural landscapes in Britain, ranging from the mountains, forests, lakes and streams of Snowdonia to cliffs and sandy beaches on the coast.

Glan-y-Rhyd cottage is in the heart of the Snowdonia National park and only a short drive from the pretty bays and sandy beaches on the island of Anglesey and the Lleyn Penninsula. It is an ideal base for walking as well as a wide range of other outdoor activities. Many attractive walks actually start from the village and there are numerous valley and forest walks in the area with marked paths.
